Robert Faias began his entrepreneurial journey as a teenager, launching his first business long before most peers entered the workforce. Over the past two decades, he has founded, scaled, and successfully operated multiple companies — establishing a track record defined by calculated risk-taking, disciplined execution, and sustained growth.
That early immersion in entrepreneurship forged the leadership philosophy that continues to define him today: an ownership mindset, performance accountability, and relationship-centric expansion.
Robert entered the merchant services industry in April 2007 with Bank of America Merchant Services, a joint venture with First Data (now Fiserv), where he quickly developed deep expertise in payment processing, consultative sales leadership, and financial services strategy within a nationally recognized platform.
In November 2018, he transitioned to TSYS, where he played a leadership role during the landmark 2019 merger between TSYS and Global Payments — gaining firsthand experience navigating enterprise-scale integration, operational transformation, and evolving payment technologies at a global level.
In January 2021, Robert joined Talus Payments, where he architected and led a premier direct-channel sales organization. Under his leadership, high-performance teams were built around transparency, residual revenue growth, disciplined pipeline management, and long-term merchant partnership strategy. His organization became known for its culture of accountability, mentorship, and sustainable income creation.
In February 2026, Robert joined Merchant People LLC — bringing with him nearly two decades of industry leadership — to continue building and elevating elite Merchant Sales professionals. His focus remains clear: developing high-producing advisors, fostering entrepreneurial opportunity, and constructing scalable revenue platforms designed for long-term success.
